Open your Bag, equip the glider, and assign it to a Quick Slot. Use that slot's assigned input to activate it. These are the steps preserved in the glider tutorial; simply having the item in your inventory is not the complete setup.
Check equipment and the shortcut separately
Find the glider item in the Bag and follow its equip prompt. Then check your Quick Slots and confirm that the slot points to the glider you intend to use. Read the assigned input instead of assuming every keyboard or controller uses the same button.
Try the input in a suitable open location before relying on it to cross a dangerous gap. If it does not activate, first confirm both the equipment and slot assignment, then inspect any message shown by the game.
Plan the landing before leaving the ground
Look for a reachable landing area and a way to continue after landing. Do not use an old video of a hidden-dungeon key as proof of the current route. The October 29 letter describes a much larger Early Access world than the demo; a demo destination is not automatically a current quest solution.
The extracted glider tutorial is dated October 24. It confirms the setup sequence, but supplies no flight-distance table, speed ranking or universal activation conditions. Use the current item description and prompts for those limits.
If a landing leaves you stuck
For terrain that traps your character, use the separate Escape troubleshooting steps. Repeatedly activating a glider is not a documented repair for a stuck quest or inaccessible dungeon entrance. Keep the location and objective name if you need to report the problem.
