How should you plan house extensions and home crafting stations?

Decide whether you need more interior space or a place to craft. Those goals can involve different blueprints. RaidDex's current housing report distinguishes additional floors, annexes and home stations; buying an attractive building item is not proof that it fits your existing house.

Identify the kind of expansion

Goal What to inspect before buying
Extend the existing house vertically The upgrade available for that specific house
Attach more room Annex style and the space required on the plot
Craft at home The station's purpose and attachment requirements

Do not infer that every house accepts the same number of floors. Check the house and blueprint descriptions for the exact combination you own.

Match the architectural style

The housing report names Romanesque and Gothic styles and says connected annexes must match the house style. It identifies Annex Architect June for annex blueprints and Station Architect Gyrenn for station blueprints.

Read the offered blueprint carefully before spending: a same-looking icon is not a compatibility check. Consider the remaining plot space and inspect any placement feedback before committing to a larger layout.

Budget the whole change

Check the blueprint, processed materials and crafting fee together. Keep enough materials for the specific extension rather than using a generic “all houses” shopping list. Old cost tables can disagree with current prices.

For a home station, first check that it serves the recipe category you actually use. A dedicated station is convenient only if it meets your production needs. The profession database lists public workbenches too, so compare those options before spending your housing resources.
