Quests & fixes

Which quest progression problems were fixed on November 7?

The November 7 maintenance reports fixes for several blocked objectives. Update the game and revisit your current objective before following a workaround written during launch or the demo.

Match your quest to the fix

Quest or interaction What the update changed
Sunken Glory Corrected where the rubbing item was provided, which had prevented progress.
Diamond Shores: Exploration Fixed a progression blocker.
Weeping Dead’s Doll / Gnoll’s Doll Fixed progression issues affecting these doll quests.
Phantoms of the Recalling Grounds Fixed circumstances that could block progress.
Bloodstained Note Fixed circumstances that prevented interaction.

The notice does not provide a full walkthrough or new coordinates for these quests. A fix to the rubbing’s location is not evidence for a guessed map pin. Use your current objective and in-game markers to resume.

Can you abandon the doll quests?

The November 4 update made Weeping Dead’s Doll, Gnoll’s Doll, Seaglass Beach Lantern’s Calling and Watcher’s Village Lantern’s Calling abandonable. The November 7 doll fixes came later. Abandonability is a separate change, not an instruction that everyone must abandon and restart. Check the quest’s consequences before choosing that option.

If progress still does not update

Confirm Steam installed the patch; if no update appears, fully restart Steam. Try the blocked interaction at your existing objective. If it fails again, send the exact quest name, objective text, server, screenshot and whether you were solo or in a party to support. Mark it as a post-update reproduction. Published fixes should not be described as currently active bugs without fresh evidence.
